Skin tightening in Anaheim Hills
Non-surgical skin tightening means prompting your own skin to make new collagen so it thickens and firms, rather than cutting and lifting it. Which treatment does that best depends on where the looseness is and how far it has gone, so this page is organised by body area, with the treatment we would recommend for each.

Skin tightening at a glance
Skin tightening at Epic IV is a plan, not a single machine. Crepey, thin skin responds to fractional CO2 laser resurfacing and to microneedling with PDGF growth factors, both of which rebuild collagen over several weeks. Early jowls and a softening jawline often need structural support from a biostimulator filler as well. Significant sagging is a surgical problem, and we will say so at the consultation rather than sell you a treatment that cannot deliver.
| Treats | Crepey and thin skin, early laxity at the jawline, neck, under the eyes, chest and hands |
|---|---|
| Treatments used | Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing, microneedling with PDGF, RF microneedling, biostimulator dermal fillers, EZ Gel for the under-eye |
| Treatment time | 30 to 60 minutes for a laser session, 45 to 60 minutes for PDGF |
| Downtime | From one to two days (CoolPeel®, microneedling) to about a week (full CO2) |
| Results | Build over 6 to 12 weeks as collagen forms, then hold with maintenance |
Which treatment tightens which area
Jawline and early jowls
The jawline softens for two reasons at once: the skin thins and the support under it drops. Thin, crepey skin along the jaw responds to fractional CO2 resurfacing. A jawline that has lost definition usually needs a biostimulator filler to rebuild support, with the laser as the second step. Most patients with early jowls get the best result from the two together, sequenced over a few months. RF microneedling, which adds radiofrequency heat beneath the surface, is another option for skin along the jaw that has started to soften.
Neck
Crepey neck skin and horizontal neck lines are the most common skin tightening request we see. Fractional CO2 is the strongest option for the neck, with lighter settings than the face and the same 3 to 7 days of redness and peeling. Microneedling with PDGF suits a neck that is thinning but not yet crepey, with less downtime. Loose skin that hangs rather than wrinkles is a surgical neck, and we will tell you.
Under the eyes
The skin here is the thinnest on the face, so it crepes early. Two treatments rebuild it from within using your own growth factors: PDGF skin rejuvenation, and EZ Gel, which is made from your own blood. Both thicken and firm the under-eye skin over weeks rather than adding volume. CoolPeel is used for fine lines on the surface.
Chest and décolletage
Sun damage and thin, crinkled skin across the chest respond to fractional CO2 resurfacing, usually at a lighter setting than the face. Expect the same recovery pattern of redness then peeling, and a strict sunscreen habit afterwards.
Hands
Crepey, veiny hands are treated with fractional CO2 to thicken the skin, and sometimes a filler to restore the cushion over the tendons.

How non-surgical skin tightening works
Every treatment on this page works the same way at the cellular level: a controlled injury that your skin repairs by laying down new collagen and elastin. A fractional CO2 laser makes that injury with heat in a grid of microscopic columns. Microneedling makes it mechanically with fine needles, and PDGF adds concentrated growth factors to the repair. A biostimulator filler does something different: it adds support where volume has dropped and prompts collagen around it.
Because the result depends on your body building collagen, it is not instant. You see the first change at around four to six weeks and the full effect at about three months. That is also why we are honest about the limit: collagen stimulation firms and thickens skin, it does not lift skin that has already fallen.

Who performs your treatment
Skin tightening at Epic IV is performed by our registered nurses, and the plan for your area is set at the consultation. Karina Jacobo, RN, BSN, PHN performs the radiofrequency and skin tightening treatments. Both nurses perform CO2 laser resurfacing and microneedling, and Tiffani Vo, RN places dermal fillers. The clinic's medical director is Dr. Christine Rongey, MD.
What to expect
Consultation
A clinician looks at the area in good light, pinches and lifts the skin to judge how much is thinning and how much is sagging, and recommends a treatment or a sequence. You get the cost before anything is booked.
Treatment
Depends on what is chosen: numbing cream then a 30 to 60 minute laser session, a 45 to 60 minute PDGF session, or a filler appointment.
Recovery
One to two days of redness for CoolPeel or microneedling, 3 to 7 days of redness and peeling for full CO2, possible swelling or bruising for a few days after PDGF or filler.
Results
First visible change at four to six weeks, full result at about three months, with a maintenance plan agreed at your follow-up.

Is skin tightening right for you?
You are likely a good candidate if you:
- Have crepey, thin or mildly loose skin rather than heavy sagging
- Want a gradual, natural change with no surgery
- Can accept the recovery that comes with the treatment chosen for your area
- Will protect the treated skin from the sun afterwards
Non-surgical skin tightening is the wrong tool if the skin hangs rather than wrinkles, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have an active infection in the area, or if you need the change by next week. In those cases the consultation is still worth having: we would rather point you to the right option than treat the wrong problem.

How much does skin tightening cost in Anaheim Hills?
Lower face skin rejuvenation with RF is $1,800 on the current special. Other plans depend on which treatment fits your area and whether you need a single session or a sequence, and you get an exact price at your free consultation. Every treatment's pricing is summarised on the pricing page.
What is the best non-surgical treatment for loose skin on the neck?
For crepey neck skin, fractional CO2 laser resurfacing at a neck-appropriate setting is the strongest non-surgical option. For a neck that is thinning but not yet crepey, microneedling with PDGF works with less downtime. Skin that hangs in folds needs a surgeon, and a consultation will tell you which you have.
Can you tighten jowls without surgery?
Early jowls, yes: a biostimulator filler rebuilds the support the jawline has lost, and fractional CO2 thickens the crepey skin over it. Established jowls with a lot of loose skin are a surgical problem, and we will say so.
How long does skin tightening take to show results?
Collagen takes time to form, so the first visible change is usually at four to six weeks and the full result at about three months. Results then hold with maintenance treatments agreed at your follow-up.
Does skin tightening hurt?
Numbing cream is applied before laser and microneedling sessions, and before PDGF. You feel heat or pressure during the treatment and a sunburn-like warmth afterwards. Filler appointments involve brief pinches.
Can skin tightening help under the eyes?
Yes, with the right treatment. The under-eye skin is thin, so we rebuild it with your own growth factors through PDGF or EZ Gel rather than treating it with a strong laser. Fine surface lines there respond to CoolPeel.
Do you see patients from Yorba Linda and Orange for skin tightening?
Yes. The clinic is on Weir Canyon Road in Anaheim Hills, a short drive from Yorba Linda, and patients come from Orange and Villa Park as well.
